With the iPhone's multi touch keyboard proving to be not very user friendly after all it's not surprising that products have come out to remedy those issues, like the Pogo Stylus for instance. Personally, I think the idea of a stylus is great when you comnsider the fact that the average person's fingers are too big for the iPhone's virtual keys. Then there's also the fact that girls with long finger nails are finding it impossible to type at all on this thing, let alone quickly and accurately! I see from the Pogo site that they've also pointed out how un-glove friendly the iPhone keyboard is. So a stylus, in essence seems like a good idea.

The great thing about the Pogo is the fact that it's special tip which is not your usual point-tipped stylus, actually manages to work on the iPhone which normally needs an actual finger's touch in order to work. I've tried other stylus pens on it with no luck, so kudos to the Pogo for working on it. And for those who care about aesthetics—as so many iPhone users must—the Pogo Stylus comes in all kinds of cute colors that'll make all the tweens squeal in approval. It really is a neat little idea…but…

Yes, there had to be a 'but'. As a matter of fact there are a couple of them with the first being that a stylus, even with the handy clip-on attachment, is easy to lose. You know how easy it is to misplace your pens or simply just lose them without having any clue how or where. Well, the Pogo Stylus is smaller than a pen and even easier to lose which leaves you back at square one with your non-user-friendly iPhone keyboard! And another con is the thickness. The Pogo Stylus is thicker than most other stylus pens which isn't nearly as comfortable. Maybe I'm being picky, but hey, that's me. I do actually have another beef with the Pogo Stylus and that's that it is slow. It doesn't really work very well in the way that it moves along the screen and it just slows you down even more. Wasn't the point of the Pogo to help speed up those who are finding themselves too slow on the iPhone keyboard?

All in all it is a good idea and there is definitely a need for solutions for those who have long nails, average to bigger sized fingers or simply not enough time to invest into just 'hoping' that they hit the right keys without being able to actually feel them. But is the Pogo Stylus the best solution? Nah. Definitely not – good try though.
